Bitcoin’s price rose over the $30,000-mark even as the world’s most popular cryptocurrency registered a record ninth-weekly loss. However, the global cryptocurrency market is in green as most of the alt coins registered hefty gains.
This was the first time that Bitcoin went through more than six weeks in a row without a positive return.
Bitcoin’s price was up by 5.62 per cent to $30,613. The price of the world’s second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ethereum, was at $1,902, up by 7.02 per cent.
“Bitcoin and Ethereum showed some improvement by gaining nearly 5 per cent and 6 per cent each over the past 24 hours compared to their last two days’ performance. Bitcoin remains consolidated, but it may likely take some time to reach its strength level,” Edul Patel, Co-Founder & CEO of Mudrex, said.
“Bitcoin may rise above its initial resistance at $33,000 if buyers extend their support. This growth could keep the buyers active in the market,” Patel said.
XRP gained 5.39 per cent, Solana was up 9.88 per cent, Cardano rose 13 per cent, Stellar gained over 14 per cent, Polkadot was over 12 per cent, Dodgecoin rose over 6 per cent, Avalanche gained over 13 per cent, and Shiba Inu rose over 15 per cent.
